Created by Rachel Sennott, I Love LA is an eight-episode series that also stars her in the lead role. Viewers who have seen Sennott in action before will be well aware that the 30-year-old actress has a knack for comedy, which is why it is hardly surprising that HBO Max has faith in her vision.

The upcoming show focuses on a group of friends who reunite after living apart for years. As expected, time has changed them in different ways. The narrative will focus on their evolving bond, along with exploring how they navigate adulthood, ambitions and relationships.

From the trailer, it seems like this show will feature eccentric characters and witty dialogue that will appeal to viewers who enjoy narratives with a heavy dose of comedy.

The first episode of Investigation Discovery's new show Who Hired the Hitman? will premiere on November 4, 2025. The same will also air on HBO Max, only one day later, and the same format will be followed for all six episodes.

As expected from the title, Who Hired the Hitman? puts the spotlight on interesting cases involving contract killing. Each episode will highlight a different case. From dissecting deceiving alibis to understanding the actual motivation behind the crimes, it seeks to offer eye-opening insight into the cases so that the identity of the real mastermind is unraveled. It will particularly appeal to true-crime fans.

This six-episode HBO Original series is based on a well-known documentary podcast titled "Praia dos Ossos". It shares the story of Ângela Diniz, a progressive socialite who had to pay the ultimate price for defying the standards imposed on women.

Viewers will also learn more about her controversial murder case. She was shot at point-blank range by her boyfriend. Because of her status, the case received considerable media attention. However, there is some debate about how the narrative was handled, which portrayed Ângela partially responsible for her own death.

Even though the case blew up in Brazil, there are many who don't know much about Ângela and this series will help share her story with more people around the world.

It focuses on the contested mayoral election held during the pandemic in New Mexico between Sheriff Joe Cross and Mayor Ted Garcia.

Pascal plays Garcia, the incumbent mayor of Eddington running for re-election. Phoenix portrays Cross, the local sheriff who decides to run against him. The movie also stars Emma Stone, Austin Butler, Luke Grimes, and more.

In addition to Pascal and Phoenix, viewers also praised Stone's layered performance. Although the focus is on the political drama, the narrative also highlights the helplessness and loneliness experienced by people during the pandemic.

Fans of period dramas wouldn't want to miss out on this HBO offering. Taking inspiration from Pierre Choderlos de Laclos' Les Liaisons Dangereuses, this French HBO Original series will contain a total of six episodes.

In the show, Anamaria Vartolomei's Isabelle de Merteuil feels betrayed by Vincent Lacoste's Vicomte de Valmont. She then makes up her mind to become Paris’ leading courtesan. The narrative will explore romance, ambitions, jealousy and much more.

The trailer gives the impression that the plot will have plenty of twists and turns that will help keep viewers invested in the drama unfolding on screen. Episodes of The Seduction will be released weekly. The finale is scheduled to air on December 19.

Co-directed by Kevin Macdonald and Sam Rice-Edwards, One to One: John & Yoko is centered around the "One to One" benefit concert. It gives insight into the couple's life at their Greenwich Village apartment against the backdrop of the changing American political scenario.

To date, the documentary has been screened at multiple film festivals, including the Venice Film Festival and the Sundance Film Festival. Given that "One to One" benefit concerts were only full concert performances by Lennon after the break-up of the Beatles, the concert footage and audio, which make up the majority of the film, will hold special meaning for music lovers.
