While Triple H's booking has been favorable for some WWE Superstars, it hasn't benefited others. As 2025 comes to an end, fans believe that several wrestlers deserve a push into the main event scene and hope the creative team will consider putting them in the spotlight in 2026.
In this listicle, we will look at six WWE midcarders who should be pushed into the main event scene in 2026.
#6. Lyra Valkyria
Lyra Valkyria experienced early success after being promoted to the main roster in May 2024. She became the inaugural WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion the following year and had a stellar run before finally dropping the gold to Becky Lynch at the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event.

Since losing the Women's IC Title, Valkyria appears to be facing many setbacks in her career, as the company has yet to give her another major push. Given her performances, many believe that the 29-year-old star deserves to be in the world title picture. Hence, the company should consider making that happen in the coming year.
#5. Sami Zayn
Sami Zayn's run so far this year has been somewhat underwhelming. Although he gained a lot of support from fans during his United States Title reign, the creative team has booked him as a mid-carder, which has limited his opportunities to reach the main event scene.
The creative team should consider pushing Zayn into the main event scene in 2026 because he has all the necessary tools to become a world champion.
#4. Giulia
Giulia made her debut on WWE SmackDown in April this year, defeating Charlotte Flair and Zelina Vega in a Triple Threat Match to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. She then won the Women's United States Championship from Vega the following month on the blue brand show before finally losing to Chelsea Green in November.
Despite achieving such a major milestone in a short period on the main roster, The Beautiful Madness is still being booked as a mid-carder. During her reign as the Women's US Champion, she never defended the title at a WWE PLE. Hence, fans are hoping that this will change in 2026. Giulia is a talented performer in the ring and deserves a push.
#3. Austin Theory
Despite working with Grayson Waller in a tag team known as A-Town Down Under, Austin Theory seemingly faced some major challenges in his career before taking time off in July due to an injury.
Theory recently returned as the mystery attacker who had been working for The Vision. Therefore, many now suggest that the company should utilize Theory's alliance with Paul Heyman and his crew to bring him back into the spotlight.
#2. Penta
Penta signed with WWE in January this year. He gained popularity during his time in AEW, where he wrestled for about five years. However, many believe that the 40-year-old luchador's run in the Stamford-based promotion has not lived up to fans' expectations so far. This is likely because of his lackluster booking and unimpressive win-loss record.
The company should consider giving Penta a significant push next year. Triple H and Co. could do this by having him reunite with his real-life brother, Rey Fenix, and re-form the Lucha Brothers.
#1. WWE should push Aleister Black into the main event scene in 2026
Many believe that Aleister Black has had an underwhelming run so far since his return to WWE in April this year. This is apparently due to his poor booking on SmackDown.
Given Black's potential and top-notch performances in the ring, many believe that he deserves a push into the main event scene in 2026.
