The Green Bay Packers head into Week 10 at 5-2-1, sitting atop the NFC North and firmly in the championship hunt. Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst already turned heads by landing Micah Parsons from Dallas before the season began.
With Tuesday’s 4 p.m. trade deadline fast approaching, Green Bay still has room to shore up key weaknesses and solidify its Super Bowl credentials.

1. Alontae Taylor, cornerback, New Orleans Saints
Cornerback remains the Packers' most pressing concern. Keisean Nixon has stepped up as the top corner but lacks elite coverage consistency, while Carrington Valentine and Nate Hobbs have struggled to provide stability.
Alontae Taylor could change that.
He brings toughness and improved technique on the boundary. Set to become a free agent in March, he’s drawn mild trade interest despite New Orleans’ reluctance to move him.
Taylor has tallied 246 tackles, two interceptions and 45 pass breakups through three-plus seasons. This is strong production given the Saints’ uneven defense. His tackling, once a weak point, has improved significantly, and his physical play at the line could fit Jeff Hafley’s aggressive defensive approach.
2. Tariq Woolen, cornerback, Seattle Seahawks
If Brian Gutekunst wants a splash move, Tariq Woolen fits the bill. One of the league’s most athletic corners, he combines size and recovery speed with impressive ball skills. While his 2025 season has been inconsistent, giving up higher completion rates and penalties, his upside remains enormous.
Seattle could be open to moving him as he nears free agency in 2026, especially with emerging depth in its secondary. Woolen’s metrics, including a 98.9 passer rating allowed, suggest regression; however, that may make him more affordable.
Acquiring Woolen would not only elevate Green Bay’s coverage unit but also prevent Detroit from adding another defensive weapon within the division.
3. Calais Campbell, defensive tackle, Arizona Cardinals
The Packers’ defensive front has lacked interior power since trading Kenny Clark to Dallas. Devonte Wyatt has impressed but depth issues were exposed in the loss to Carolina in Week 9. The Panthers gashed them for over 100 rushing yards.
Calais Campbell, 39, continues to defy age with steady production. He’s logged three sacks and five tackles for loss this season while maintaining a strong run defense grade. Campbell's veteran presence could stabilize the line and bring leadership to a young locker room.
With Arizona sliding in the standings and Campbell on a one-year deal, this could be a classic win-win.
4. Sebastian Joseph-Day, defensive tackle, Tennessee Titans
If Calais Campbell isn’t available, Joseph-Day offers a reliable, lower-cost alternative. The veteran is a stout run defender who can handle multiple interior roles. He’s logged 14.5 career sacks and nearly 40 tackles for loss, offering valuable rotational flexibility.
Tennessee, a team that's amid a rebuild, could offload him before he hits free agency. Adding Joseph-Day would give Green Bay essential depth behind Wyatt and prevent further vulnerability against the run.
For a mid-round selection, the Packers could secure a plug-and-play lineman with championship experience.
5. David Njoku, tight end, Cleveland Browns
Tucker Kraft’s reported ACL tear creates a major void in Green Bay’s passing attack. Luke Musgrave leads a thin tight end group, and adding a veteran like David Njoku would likely restore balance immediately.
Njoku, a pending free agent, has been productive despite Cleveland’s offensive struggles. He had 27 catches for 260 yards and two touchdowns this season. His size and catch radius would give Jordan Love a dependable red-zone target.
Cleveland may resist dealing him, but if offered fair compensation, the Browns could move on and focus on developing rookie Harold Fannin Jr. For Green Bay, Njoku’s proven ability to create mismatches would bring much-needed versatility to the offense.
