The San Francisco 49ers have already reached two massive contract extensions this offseason, both on offense. Brock Purdy and George Kittle both have new deals.
Next up is clear: Superstar linebacker Fred Warner.
And according to NBC Sports Bay Area's Jennifer Lee Chan, the 49ers are "very close" to a multi-year agreement with Warner.
"Warner’s extension likely will make the All-Pro the highest-paid inside linebacker in the NFL while keeping the 2018 third-round draft pick in the Bay Area for the foreseeable future," Chan writes.

Currently, the Ravens' Roquan Smith is the highest-paid inside linebacker in the NFL. His deal is five years for $100 million, $20 million per year.
It's not clear whether Warner will get five years, but it's safe to expect his average annual value to exceed that $20 million rate.
And if the 49ers want to give the 28-year old five years, he'll likely exceed that $100 million value.
Warner has reached 118 tackles or more in every one of his seven NFL seasons. He's a bonafide legend, and he'll soon have the record-setting contract to prove it.
