Welcome to the latest edition of WWE rumors we hope are true, and we hope aren't. The Stamford-based promotion is nearing the end of 2025 and is already preparing for the first episodes of RAW and SmackDown in 2026.
Amidst this, major rumors surfaced on the internet. In this article, let's take a look at the four WWE rumors we hope are true and the two we hope aren't.
#4. Hope true: Major WWE star finally returning
El Grande Americano turned babyface at AAA show because Chad Gable is returning to WWE soon. Chad is going to come back as the top heel in the WWE, both as the heel Grande and as Chad Gable. (via Ibou) #WWE #fblifestyle
Spoiler on Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes - Check Here!
It's been a long time since Chad Gable has been absent from the company. However, the latest reports disclosed that the Master Gable is on the horizon to make his comeback in the World Wrestling Entertainment.
Even the source added that WWE has some major plans instored for the former Alpha Academy member. We hope that the rumour is true, as Gable's return will make the El Grande Americano storyline interesting to watch again.
#2. Hope not true: William Regal replaced in his role
"Is he mad at me?" This WWE Unreal segment absolutely broke my heart. Abyss is such a sweet and innocent man, I'm glad William Regal was there to comfort him.
Since his WWE comeback, William Regal has played a crucial role in the company. He has been serving as the Vice President of Global Talent Development and assisting the company with the recruitment of new talent.
Meanwhile, a recent report disclosed that Regal has been replaced in the company's recruitment area by Matt Bloom. For those who might not know, Matt Bloom is also a WWE veteran and has been working as the head trainer at Performance Centre for a long time.
We hope the replacement rumor is not true, as Regal is genuinely a great person to recruit new talent.
#3. Hope true: WWE is not sacking Triple H anytime soon
Over the past few months, Triple H's creative booking has not been well-received by the audience. This is especially true with the King of the Kings poorly booking John Cena's retirement tour. The live crowd at Saturday Night's Main Event also heavingly booed the Game.
Despite all this development, reports asserted that the company has no plans to sack Triple H anytime soon. This means that the Chief Content Officer will continue to play his key role in the Sports Entertainment juggernaut.
We hope that the rumor is true, as the company has no better than Triple H right now for the creative booking decisions.
#2. Hope true: LA Knight will return next year
In an earlier episode of Monday Night RAW, LA Knight was destroyed by Bronson Reed and Logan Paul. Following this, the Megastar has been notably absent from television. Latest reports revealed that following the attack, Knight is not expected to return in the TKO-led promotion for the remainder of 2025.
Further, the source added that the attack on Knight was not the burial of his character, and he will return to TV next year. We hope the rumor is accurate and that Knight eventually returns in 2026 to take revenge against the Vision members.
#1. Hope not true: Dominik Mysterio injury update
Dominik Mysterio recently suffered an injury, and the reports revealed that Dom Dom was in pain before RAW this week. Further, the report added that the Judgment Day member will get his shoulder examined soon, and there is no update on the severity of the injury.
The source also revealed that the shoulder injury could range from Penta to Seth Rollins, who needed surgery. We hope that the injury update on Dom Dom is not true, as he is currently playing a crucial role on Monday Night RAW as Intercontinental Champion.
If the injury is found to be severe, WWE will be forced to write him off television.
#1. Hope true: A major shakeup coming
Usually, shakeups take place in the roster of WWE RAW & SmackDown, but this time WWE is planning to shake this up in the commentary table. According to a report from PWInsider, the company is planning to switch the commentary teams for the 2026.
This will start from the January 5, 2026, episode of Monday Night RAW. Additionally, the first episode of SmackDown in 2026, airing live on January 2, 2026, will feature Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett calling the show.
We hope that the shakeup rumors are true, as it will bring fresh vibes to the show in 2026.
