Former WWE Champion Randy Orton has been absent from television since his SmackDown appearance earlier this month, where he teamed up with Cody Rhodes to take on The Vision ahead of Crown Jewel: Perth.
For some time, The Viper has been stuck in the same position where he barely gets a major opportunity and often loses the bouts. Given his main-event potential, fans are now questioning when The Apex Predator will get what he deserves.
In this article, we will examine three ways The Legend Killer can return to World Wrestling Entertainment.

#3. Confront the Undisputed WWE Champion at SNME
Cody Rhodes is set to lock horns with Drew McIntyre in a rematch at the upcoming edition of Saturday Night's Main Event, and Rhodes is the odd favorite to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Thus, The American Nightmare could once again retain the Undisputed WWE Title at the event this weekend. However, in a shocking twist, Randy Orton may come out to celebrate with his prodigy and then show his true colors, turning heel on him and finally kicking off the dream rivalry between them.
#2. Win Royal Rumble
The Viper could stay out of action for months, until next year, increasing the hype for his potential comeback, and then could drop a bombshell by entering the men's Royal Rumble and winning it.
Later, Randy Orton could send shockwaves to the entire fanbase by picking Cody Rhodes as his Mania opponent and turning heel once again.
#1. Participate in WarGames
The final premium live event of the year will be Survivor Series, and from looking at the current storyline, it seems The Vision will go up against the babyface team, most probably the team of the new World Heavyweight Champion.
Regardless of who wins the title this week, either Jey Uso or CM Punk, both share a close bond with The Viper and could add him to their team against the heel group for the Men's WWE WarGames Match. This could also be a perfect spot for The Apex Predator's return.
