Trade rumors surrounding Brady Tkachuk have been picking up since the Ottawa Senators’ first-round series loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.
While there is undoubtedly a good chance that Tkachuk stays put, questions about his long-term future in Ottawa continue to arise.
If the Senators do end up making Tkachuk available for trade, several teams would look to acquire the star forward. He would bring physicality, a strong shot, and captaincy experience to any NHL team.
Due to this, let’s look at three specific teams that could make sense as landing spots for the Senators’ captain.
New York Rangers
Tkachuk would be a perfect addition to the Rangers’ roster as they continue their retool. If they struck a deal with the Senators to land Tkachuk, he would immediately become the new face of their franchise as they look to get things back on track.
Tkachuk would give them a nice replacement for Artemi Panarin on their first line, who was traded to the Los Angeles Kings this season. This would be huge for a Rangers club focused on the future and on getting back into the playoffs.

Vegas Golden Knights
The Golden Knights are never afraid to make a big splash, so it is hard to bet against them making a push for Tkachuk this summer. They seem to be in on every superstar when they become available, and Tkachuk could very well be the next one on their radar.
The Golden Knights are in the midst of their Stanley Cup window, and it would make a lot of sense for them to try to bring in Tkachuk from Ottawa, who has notably had success with Jack Eichel in international events.

Florida Panthers
The Panthers stand out as the most fascinating potential landing spot for Tkachuk. If he got traded to Florida, it would give him the chance to play with his brother, Matthew Tkachuk. The Panthers would love to make this happen.
With the Panthers being in the same division as the Senators, they would need to give up a lot to land Brady. However, with the Panthers looking to return as contenders next season, the possibility of a blockbuster move to unite the Tkachuk brothers should not be ruled out.
