The latest episode of WWE SmackDown concluded in a massive brawl between the Wyatt Sicks and the MFT members. This occurred after their WWE Tag Team title match ended in a disqualification.

The episode's ending is receiving mixed reactions online, with fans unhappy about the disqualification. Meanwhile, this means that Wyatt Sicks is still the WWE Tag Team Champion, and the MFT failed to win the gold.

In this article, let's have a look at three reasons why WWE didn't put the Tag Team title on Solo Sikoa's Family tree.

#3. No plans for a title change

That Wyatt Sicks vs MFT was actually a really good main event. I don't even care about the DQ finish; that was a good brawl that slowly brought everyone from both teams together. Everyone here is good in-ring, but it sucks that nobody gets utilized how they should. #Smackdown📷📷

The Wyatt Sicks have held the Tag Team Championship for over 160 days now. Despite this, the Stamford-based promotion is unlikely to have plans for the title change that led to the DQ ending on SmackDown.

Triple H doesn't want to put the titles on Solo Sikoa's faction and wanted to book the Uncle Howdy faction as Champions. This could be why Solo's group suffered a loss on SmackDown and failed to emerge as the new Champion.

#2. WWE wants to extend this faction war

After dropping hints for months, WWE finally started the faction war between the Wyatt Sicks and the MFT. Considering the company built a long hype around this rivalry, they surely have no plans to end it anytime soon.

This raises another reason behind the loss of Solo's Family Tree in the recent show. It appears that the company wants to stretch the feud between the horror faction and the MFT.

Now, a rematch will take place soon, and the Triple H-led creative regime might extend this feud at least till the Royal Rumble 2026 Premium Live Event.

#1. A title change at the bigger stage?

A title change on a random episode of SmackDown might not be a great way to put the tag titles on the MFT. This could be why the title switch didn't take place on the latest SmackDown.

There is a remote possibility that the company wants to put the gold on MFT on a bigger stage, like a Premium Live Event. So, they could be saving this moment ideally for the Royal Rumble 2026.

This emerged as another potential reason for MFT's failure to win the gold in the recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Rest, it will be interesting to see how the storyline will unfold next between these two factions.
