It has been a busy week in AEW. The Tony Khan-led company made the trip to Manchester, England, to tape the Holiday Bash special episodes for Dynamite and Collision.
With World's End coming up on December 27, the action has picked up in the company. This week, saw some intense matches in the Continental Classic. The fans also witnessed the return of former AEW World Champion MJF. Another major talking point was the shocking defeat of Mercedes Moné, who lost the RevPro British Undisputed Women's Championship to Alex Windsor on Collision.

#3. Hope it's true: Former champion spotted backstage
This week, the company made the trip to the UK for its Holiday Bash tapings. Fightful Select reported that former two-time International Champion Will Ospreay was backstage during the Dynamite tapings.
The star is currently recovering from neck surgery that took place back in September. He had to take time off due to a couple of herniated discs. The star has been a prominent feature of AEW since signing with the company in 2022. He is hopeful of making it back by All In: London in August 2026.
#2. Hope it's true: Popular WWE name could be jumping ship
Samantha Irvin made a name for herself as a WWE announcer. However, the star parted ways with the company last year. Since then, fans have been speculating about where the talented announcer will appear next.
This week, the star gave fans a huge hint about her next gig. She updated her Twitter bio to "Soon to be the greatest wrestling manager of the modern era." This got fans buzzing about a possible appearance on AEW, where her husband, Ricochet, is the current National Champion.
#1. Hope it's true: Lena Kross is All Elite
AEW has made some blockbuster acquisitions this year. Tony Khan has signed some of the hottest free agents to his company, including the likes of Megan Bayne, Josh Alexander, Speedball Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight, and more.
Another major name added to this list is Lena Kross. Fightful Select reported that the 30-year-old wrestling sensation is officially signed to AEW. The star appeared in a match on the July 31 edition of Collision. The star reportedly impressed people backstage during her match against Kris Statlander.
#2. Hope it's not true: Nyla Rose's disappointing update
AEW's Natural Beast Nyla Rose has been out of action for several months. The star joined the company back in 2019 and has been a prominent feature of the Women's division. However, her last match for the company happened on the November 20, 2024, episode of Rampage.
During a Fightful Select Q&A with Sean Ross Sapp, the journalist reported that there was no update as to why the star has not been featured on TV since 2024. He noted that neither his sources within the company nor Rose knew why she was not being utilized.
#1. Hope it's not true: Bobby Lashley's health update
Bobby Lahley has been a dominant force in AEW since joining the company in 2024. However, the Hurt Syndicate member has been sidelined due to a recent injury.
On Collision: Winter is Coming, MVP revealed that Lashley is dealing with an injury. Fans were concerned about the nature of the injury and whether the star would need an extended hiatus. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that Bobby is legit injured and may be on the shelf for a few months. Fightful also confirmed the reports. However, there was no clarity on the severity of the injury.
