A popular 26-year-old WWE Superstar suffered her 17th loss in 2025 in singles competition at a recent show. She has made very limited television appearances in the past twelve months.
The name in question is NXT star Nikkita Lyons. She signed with World Wrestling Entertainment in 2021 and was an integral part of NXT 2.0. Many fans expected Lyons to be the next breakout star, but repeated injuries halted her progress.
Although The Lioness wrestled at several house shows, most of her on-screen appearances in 2025 were on WWE Evolve, where she also won two one-on-one contests. However, her third and most recent win of the year in a singles contest was against Karmen Petrovic in a Dark Match on the October 28 edition of NXT.
Before the latest edition of Monday Night RAW went on the air, Nikkita Lyons faced Ivy Nile in a taped match for WWE Main Event. The contest ended with the American Made member securing the win, handing Lyons another loss.
WWE NXT star Nikkita Lyons opened up about her unfortunate injury
Nikkita Lyons has had her troubles with knee injuries. Just a month after returning from injury, she sustained another one while competing with Blair Davenport in January 2024. She was forced out of action for another nine months.
Following her return from injury in September 2024, Nikkita Lyons shared an X (fka Twitter) post noting that she had her second ACL surgery eight months ago. She thanked the medical team and the fans for their constant support. Lyons added that she missed wrestling and the fans.
"It’s been 8 months since my 2nd ACL surgery, I missed you guys sooo much. I’m overwhelmed with all the kind comments and messages, please know that I see you and I’m infinitely grateful for your love and support! It’s been a long road but life will test you to see how bad you really want it and how hard you’re willing to fight. Everything we go through is to learn, level up and ascend. HUGE shoutout to the WWE Medical team for helping guide me through everything, especially TARA!!!! I love you dearly and I love you WWE NXT Universe! TIME TO MF POUNCE."Despite her limited television appearances and the injuries, the Stamford-based promotion has not let Nikkita Lyons go. It will be interesting to see what plans the global juggernaut has for the 26-year-old star.
