22 Wholesome Cats for a Softer Day on the Internet (June 12th, 2026)

Looking for some warm and cute energy from cats today? Let me answer that for you: of course you are, and not only today, but every day. 

I'm going to get a bit personal here, okay? I've always been a head-to-toe dog person. I've always had dogs, and felt like I always knew how to interact with them. The only cat I knew was my grandma's, and she was very particular. Since I didn't really get along with cats, her presence made me anxious, because I didn't know what to do. I couldn't sense if she wanted to be pet, or maybe left alone.

Anyways, fast forward a few years, and both my grandparents asked me if I could move into their home to be with the cat when they were on vacation. 'Heck yes, I'm moving in!', I said. I didn't really think much of the cat. I just wanted to be home alone for a few days, do my thing, and that's it. But little did I know that that cat was going to become the most precious thing ever to me.

Slowly, she started to accept my presence, and we became inseparable. She would be sad whenever I left the house, and she would find a way to let me know! And I thought that was amazing. I had never seen a cat be so smart and so communicative (that's because I'd never been with them), and I loved her right away. Since then, I have been taking care of her anytime my grandparents leave for vacation. 

In honour of that little sweet pea, I put together these wonderful pictures of cats for you to enjoy. If you were like me and don't really get along with any type of feline, don't worry. And that's the best part of those animals: they get to choose their hooman, rather than the opposite.
