I have always despised the Belt Parkway. Particularly back in the day before we all carried around a personal GPS on our phones.
It was so unpredictable. Sometimes it took 20 minutes to get from the Marine Parkway Bridge to the Verrazzano. Other times it might take two hours. You just never knew until you got on the road. All it took was one little boo-boo to ruin the trip.
The same could be said for a Christian McCaffrey fantasy season. If all goes smoothly, you cruise to a great finish. But if you hit a little bump, you could miss extended time and your team might stray way off course.
Just take last season. He hit a road block early and ended up playing just five games. But in 2023, he had no such detours, finishing third overall and first among RBs. All clear in 2022, RB2 and No. 7 overall. Boo-boo in 2021, 168th overall. And so on.
