2025 BWF Hylo Open Day 3 Results: Lakshya Sen sails into quarterfinals, Kiran George upsets World No.13

Thursday at the Hylo Open saw Indian shuttlers deliver another round of impressive wins. As players from across the world battled for a spot in the quarterfinals of the Super 500 event, fans were treated to some exciting matches.

Getting the ball rolling for India on pre-quarterfinals day was the men's singles encounter between Lakshya Sen and Sankar Muthusamy. While Muthusamy had upset World No.22 Jeong Jun Hao in his opening round, he was no match for his own compatriot on Thrusday, as a dominant Sen ousted the rising star 21-14, 21-11.

Elsewhere, Kiran George delivered a blockbuster performance in his round of 16 encounter. Facing off against French World No.13 Toma Junior Popov, the Indian showed incredible grit to come back from a game down and win his match 18-21, 21-18, 21-19. Meanwhile, Ayush Shetty ousted former World Champion Loh Kean Yew in straight games, in a match that lasted less than 40 minutes.

Rounding out the day for India at the Hylo Open, Unaati Hooda and Rakshitha Sree Santhosh Ramraj claimed wins in their women's singles matches, while the doubles duo of Rohan Kapoor and Ruthvika Shivani Gadde went down to Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Boje.
