When was the last time you treated yourself to a fancy and relaxing spa day?

Believe it or not, the last time I had anything remotely similar to a spa session was over a year ago, for one of my best friends' bachelorette party. Yeah, we did a spa day as her bachelorette. No trips, no drinking, no bars at 3am, and thank goodness for that! I mean, we're still young, but we do not have the necessary energy to stay away all night celebrating. Quite the opposite, in fact. We are in desperate need of a full weekend of relaxing, getting a massage, and having an expert give us a facial with all their magical stuff to make our skin look radiant and fresh.

I've always been curious about those massages they give with hot rocks… It looks glamorous, but is it really worth it? Does it hurt? Can the rocks get too hot and burn you? I don't find that very relaxing… I think I'll just stick to traditional massages.

Since we're at it, we could also throw in a manicure and pedicure session over there. You know, while they put cucumbers on your face and blow-dry your hair. You already have to sit still for a good while; what's the harm in making the most of that time?

Even though it is an excellent activity for a Sunday, and you can even do a few things at home, it would be wonderful to have it professionally done, and even more in the middle of the week, when we're already tired, but there are still a few days left until the weekend. Maybe we should just make an appointment for a random Wednesday and just call in sick at work to have the day all to ourselves. Or even better, schedule a spa vacation. An entire week of relaxation and pampering is exactly what we all need. Otherwise, when we go on vacation, we just want to see new places; we walk and hike and visit nonstop, and we come back more tired than we left. So yeah, that sounds like a perfectly reasonable solution. Book a spa vacation!

As lovely as that delirium sounds, it costs money that we don't have. We can cry all together about that next time, but for now, we can just laugh and relax with this set of spa memes for day af self care.
