Tyrese Haliburton will take center stage Wednesday as the Pacers open preseason play against the Timberwolves on their star's old stomping grounds.
The exhibition game will be played at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa, where Haliburton played from 2018-20 before jumping to the NBA. The contest not only marks a return to where Haliburton starred in college but a welcome return to the court, period, after the All-Star guard missed all of last season following an Achilles injury.
While Haliburton will be the focus Wednesday, Pacers fans will also get a look at how everything fits together with their star running the show. That includes Haliburton playing alongside Ivica Zubac for the first time since the center came over from the Clippers at last season's trade deadline.
On the opposite side, the Timberwolves already have a preseason game under their belt, but the entire preseason will be an exercise in watching how the new-look lineup featuring Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball fits together.
It should be a good one in Iowa. Here's all you need to know to watch.
