In Zenless Zone Zero, it's recommended to be familiar with the Rupture specialty type that was first introduced in Zenless Zone Zero's version 2.0, alongside Yixuan's release. We have also noticed how agents in this category, such as Yixuan and Komano Manato, share a similar damage attribute called Sheer Force and scale off HP.

They also share a parry-based gameplay in their combat rotations, adding to their utility in endgame modes where survivability plays a major role. With Yidhari’s upcoming release in version 2.3 phase 2, players are curious to see how she and others will stand in the game's future meta.

Here’s an overview of all current and upcoming Rupture units, their strengths, and the best supports to fulfill their potential.

List of all current and upcoming Rupture units in Zenless Zone Zero

Each Rupture agent shares core combat attributes but also brings unique traits that set them apart. Here’s a list of all confirmed and upcoming Rupture units in future Zenless Zone Zero updates.

1) Yixuan (Auric Ink Rupture)

Yixuan was the first agent to showcase this specialty type in version 2.0 of Zenless Zone Zero. An S-Rank operative, she has a special attribute called Auric Ink, which is a unique form of Ether. Her damage mainly comes from her EX Special Attack and additional Ultimate ability, the Endless Talisman, which consumes her Technique Points to activate.

After using her additional Ultimate or her regular Ultimate, Qingming Skyshade, Yixuan can trigger a passive effect through her dodge and basic attack combo that evenly redistributes the total HP of the entire squad. She currently stands as one of the most reliable main DPS agents in the game's meta.

2) Komano Manato (Fire Rupture)

Komano Manato is one of the newly introduced A-Rank characters in version 2.3. His damage is dependent on his HP and triggering the "Molten Edge" state, where he gets free CRIT Rate and Fire DMG boosts for his Assist and Basic Attack. He’s the best and the only F2P option for new players who want to experience the Rupture type without seeking the S-Rank agents.

3) Yidhari (Ice Rupture)

Yidhari is an upcoming S-Rank agent arriving in version 2.3's second phase on November 4, 2025. We get access to her trial in-game while progressing through the story "Memories of Dreams Bygone", where she is dealing continuous AoE Ice damage by consuming HP through EX Special and enhanced basic attacks in each rotation. Based on this preview, players can expect her to serve as a main DPS when released.

4) Banyue (Fire Rupture)

One of the recently drip-marketed agents for Zenless Zone Zero version 2.4 is Banyue, who's set to be an S-Rank Fire Rupture agent. So far, leaks via Dim and other reliable sources suggest he's a combo-heavy DPS who deals consistent Sheer Force damage with HP scaling.

However, players should be advised that this information is based on leaks and subject to change before the official release.

Best supports for Rupture agents in Zenless Zone Zero

If you plan to pull Yixuan or other upcoming Rupture agents, here’s a list of the best supports so far to maximize their damage potential.

1) Lucia (Ether Support)

Lucia is the foremost option as she's a dedicated S-Rank Support for Rupture agents only. Her kit is designed to boost their energy regeneration while increasing Sheer Force and overall damage output. Ether Veil is an ability of hers that further restores team-wide HP and increases their Max HP. Even with free-to-play builds, she can still provide steady and reliable damage boosts.

2) Pan Yinhu (Physical Defense)

Pan Yinhu is the best F2P option for players who don’t have Lucia or haven't pulled for her yet. Despite being a Defense agent, he excels in providing Sheer Force buffs, increasing attack speed, and healing from his Ultimate. In a typical rotation, he appears briefly to use his EX Special Attack, providing buffs to the agent positioned before him. For this reason, you should ideally place your Rupture agent before him in the agent lineup before any combat.

3) Astra Yao (Ether Support)

If you don’t have Pan Yinhu or Lucia, Astra Yao can be your next best option thanks to her team-wide buffs. She applies consistent CRIT DMG buffs on triggering Quick Assists, and provides energy and HP recovery on her Ultimate. This makes her a reliable pick for Rupture agents who thrive on HP consumption to maximize their damage.

4) Jufufu (Fire Stun)

Jufufu is an off-field Stun agent who inflicts lots of daze on enemies and buffs the whole team. She also specializes in boosting chain attacks and ultimate damage while also increasing the decibel cap of the squad. This works perfectly for Yixuan since she has two types of Ultimates, and it can be applied even when Jufufu is not on the field.

The Rupture specialty is still fairly new in Zenless Zone Zero, and players can expect more agents of this type in future updates. This article should help you understand the existing and upcoming agents along with their best supports to compete in the game's meta, even as a new player.
