The love story between Zach Wilson and his new wife, Nicolette Dellanno, started years ago at Citi Field before it spilled over into her DMs.
That’s according to Wilson’s mom, Lisa, who shared how the couple met in a post Monday on her Instagram Stories — two days after the Dolphins quarterback wed his fiancée in a glitzy Manhattan ceremony over the weekend.
“How did they meet?” Lisa wrote alongside a clip of Dellanno dancing at the wedding reception. “Zach took his friends from home to a Mets game. Their eyes met. Zach[‘s] friend recognized [Dellanno] from of all things TikTok. Zach DM’d her, the rest is history.”
Dellanno, who was first linked to Wilson in 2022, reposted Lisa’s message, writing, “Obsessed with my new MIL [mother-in-law].”
Lisa included snapshots of the newlyweds dancing and cutting their wedding cake.
Wilson and Dellanno wed at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Saturday before celebrating their union at the famed Rainbow Room.
It came roughly a year after the Jets’ former first-round pick proposed to Dellanno during their vacation to Italy.
Dellanno, who is a native of New Jersey, looked stunning in a Pnina Tornai gown from Kleinfeld Bridal.
Wilson looked dapper in a tuxedo and bow tie by The Black Tux.
The former BYU signal-caller was brought to tears when he watched Dellanno walk down the aisle, as seen in a video on social media.
Dellanno has supported Wilson, 25, throughout his NFL career, which recently included a stint with the Broncos last season.
He didn’t play a snap in Denver after losing the starting quarterback competition to Bo Nix, the No. 12 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Some of Wilson’s Broncos teammates and their wives attended Saturday’s lavish affair.
Wilson found his new NFL home in Miami, signing a one-year, $6 million deal in March, where he will serve as Tua Tagovailoa’s backup in 2025.
