  It looks like Christmas came early for one unsuspecting dog-lover this year! One freezing Midwest morning, this dog owner heard a helpless cat meowing on his front porch in the snow. The nights can reach up (or down, depending on how you look at it) -5 degrees Fahrenheit, which is no kind of temperature for any sort of cat to be out in.

  Cassie has officially been inside for a full week, and it's been a big milestone after a long, complicated journey. Life outdoors made her reactive and defensive, and early attempts to bring her inside didn't go well. Even with careful socialization, she just wasn't ready, and she made it very clear. So she stayed in the garage instead, where she had warmth, space, and a setup that worked for her at the time.

  It's not so uncommon for doggos to find a fuzzy friend and bring them home, but a cat? That's something quite rare and unique! But the maine coon in our video today became attached to something else…a wolf pup! The cat found the wild wolf pup outside and brought him home to his hooman family, and wouldn't take no for an answer (as if you can ever truly say "no" to a cat in the furst place!).

  There is something about Christmas that brings the believer out in us. Something out there has to be working overtime at the end of the year, trying to reach all the deadlines. That is the only thing we can think of that can explain all the cat related Christmas miracles that happen at the end of the years. Freezing cats get rescued straight out of the snow, people skip holiday dinners because of a kitten they heard crying outside, lost cats get returned to owners who have already given up hope.

  We think that we have made it known many times already that one of our dreams is to one day pet a big cat. We don't care which one - lion, tiger, bobcat… any of them would be good. We say that it's a dream, but in reality, we know that it's more of a fantasy than a dream. We are not one of those professionals who can have that. We are not part of a lion pack, we have never raised cheetahs and bonded with them, we have not are not caretakers who get their shoes attacked by jaguars. Unfortunately. We have accepted that.
