Two years after ruling the summer with “Peaches & Eggplants,” Young Nudy and 21 Savage have once again teamed up for a new single — and they’re bringing Memphis rap icon Project Pat along for the ride.
Produced by Coupe, the ATL-bred producer behind Grammy-nominated hits such as Latto‘s “Big Mama,” “Iced Tea” offers up more of Nudy’s trademark laid-back flow over characteristically menacing trap beats. Project Pat injects some Memphis energy into the affair with his percussive flow in the hook proclaiming, “If you don’t work, then you don’t eat.”
21 Savage, who’s previously linked with Nudy for hits such as 2017’s “EA” and 2022’s Metro Boomin-produced “Umbrella,” also makes an appearance with a guest verse that drips with his usual braggadocio. “Big dog in my hood, b—h, I’m pulling up to beat sum,” he spits. “Give they ass the belt every time them n—as tweak sum/ All them licks I hit, my mama knew I was gon’ be sum.”
In the Hidji-directed music video, Coupe stars as a guide leading “hood tours” as he brings an eclectic group of tourists through a trap house featuring blunts, wings and stripper poles — all captured through an almost-surrealist lens. Hidgi also helmed the official “Peaches & Eggplants” music video, which helped the song reach No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Nudy’s first entry on the ranking as a lead artist.
Both “Iced Tea” and “BTA,” which he dropped in June, will appear on Nudy’s forthcoming new album, Paradise, out Aug. 8 via PDE Records and RCA Records. Fans who pre-save the album will also be able to RSVP to free Road to Paradise shows in select cities to celebrate the 14-track set’s release. Paradise will serve as Nudy’s first full-length project since 2024’s Sli’merre 2.
In addition to “Peaches,” Young Nudy has earned four Billboard Hot 100 hits, including 2019’s “Down Bad” (No. 64, with Dreamville), 2020’s “Money Spread” (No. 89, with Lil Uzi Vert), “Snitches & Rats” (No. 61, with 21 Savage & Metro Boomin) and “Umbrella” (No. 23). The Grammy-nominated rapper has also appeared on the Billboard 200 twice: 2018’s Slimeball 3 (No. 146) and 2022’s EA Monster (No. 135).
