Manny Pacquiao return card rocked by major pullout ahead of weigh-in

Angel Fierro is out of his rematch with Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz after being hospitalized while attempting to make weight.

It's understood Cruz may yet take on a replacement opponent, having successfully made weight himself before Fierro's health issues came to light.

The bout was due to take place on the undercard of Manny Pacquiao's return fight with Mario Barrios in Las Vegas this Saturday.

Cruz and Fierro met in February this year and put on a Fight of the Year contender, with Pitbull claiming the decision victory and bragging rights.

Fans and pundits were tipping more of the same this time around, although they'll now have to wait if they wish to see them run it back.

Omar Salcido Gamez, who was booked to fight Brian Gallegos on the card has emerged as a potential replacement to face Cruz.

The 20-2 California-based Mexican also successfully made the 140-pound limit at Friday's weigh in.

More to come.
