Piers Morgan has announced that his latest interview with Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will air next week. He has teased some details regarding the interview and hinted that it will be Ronaldo's most personal and revealing interview ever.

Cristiano Ronaldo gave Morgan an interview three years back, which sparked major controversy. In that interview, Ronaldo slammed Manchester United and then-manager of the club Erik ten Hag and saw his contract mutually terminated.

Ronaldo's contract termination in mid-season, ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, led him to join Al-Nassr in January 2023. After almost three years, the Portuguese superstar could once again make the headlines with another candid interview with Piers Morgan.

Morgan posted a preview of the latest interview on Instagram describing the conversation as 'amazingly heartfelt, honest, warm and often hilarious'. The broadcaster posted:

"So many people asking me about my new interview with Cristiano Ronaldo. What does he say? How personal does he get? Is it very revealing? Was anything off limits? To which the answers are: a) A lot, b) VERY, c) Yes, and d) No."

Morgan wrote:

"I spent 80 minutes chatting to the (goat emoji) of football at his home in Saudi Arabia, and it was an amazingly heartfelt, honest, warm and often hilarious conversation. It airs next week on Piers Morgan Uncensored. You won't want to miss this!"

He later posted on X:

"UPDATE: The announcement of my new Ronaldo interview has now been viewed 51 million times on our combined X and Insta accounts. In just 24 hours…! This is why he's the (goat emoji)."

Cristiano Ronaldo is regarded by many as the greatest player of all time (GOAT) and Piers Morgan is among his biggest fans. It will be interesting to see how the interview turns out.

Former Manchester United star believes Cristiano Ronaldo has eyes on two targets before he retires

Former Premier League full-back Danny Simpson believes Cristiano Ronaldo has two more targets to achieve before he decides to hang up his boots. The former Manchester United academy graduate believes the 40-year-old probably wants to score 1000 career goals and also share the pitch with his son. The former Premier League-winning Leicester City defender told GOAL:

“I don’t think you can write him off. As long as he is scoring goals, as long as he doesn’t get any injuries, then it wouldn't surprise me because it’s him. I know he wants 1,000 goals. And I think he wants to play with his son.”

He added:

“Playing with your son, that’s probably one of the biggest targets that you can go for once you have won everything. Sharing a pitch with your son must be some feeling. You look at those targets. He does set targets and you look at those - 1,000 goals and play with his son - does he do those and think ‘right, I’ve done it all now’? I don’t know where you go after that. He’s just a phenomenal person, player. What he’s done for the game, it’s unbelievable.”

Cristiano Ronaldo is not too far from either of the targets Simpson has mentioned. While he is 40 years of age, he has 950 career goals to his name and only needs 50 to become the first player to score 1000 goals.

Meanwhile, the former Real Madrid superstar's son is 15 years of age and plays for Al-Nassr's youth side. He also recently made his debut for the Portugal U-16 national team.
