You won't believe how many no-hitters Astros have thrown since 2018

The Houston Astros pump out no-hitters like it's nothing.

In the last eight seasons, it's become almost a regular occurrence for the AL West club.

Houston threw a combined no-hitter against the Texas Rangers on Monday, using three pitchers to get the job done.

"The Astros, man. Whether they’re good or not real good, all they do is throw no-hitters," The Athletic's Jayson Stark wrote. "This now makes seven of them in the last eight seasons."

Stark provided a wild statistic that will make any baseball fan wonder how the Astros have pulled this off.

"How crazy is that? Of the other 29 teams, 15 of them haven’t thrown any no-hitters in that span when the Astros were throwing seven no-hitters, because …Baseball!"

Tatusya Imai started Monday's game for the Astros, throwing six innings with two strikeouts and four walks.

Per Stark, there has been only one pitcher in Major League history to start a no-hitter with a higher ERA than Imai's 8.31 mark in the first five starts of a season and career.

That pitcher was Francisco Liriano with the Minnesota Twins in 2011, who entered his no-no with a 9.13 ERA.

Fascinating stuff from the Astros. It seems they will always be a team to watch for when it comes to no-hitters.
