"You're not a pro," "This is how an amateur acts" - Ex-WWE writer goes off at Seth Rollins

WWE's Seth Rollins recently landed in some hot water when he commented on two wrestling veterans in an interview. Recently, Vince Russo reacted to those comments.

In an appearance on Mohr Stories, Seth Rollins commented on Vince Russo and Jim Cornette and stated he hated them. While he expressed the same amount of hate for both, Rollins picked Cornette, as the two have worked together in the past, and called Russo a hanger-on.

Speaking on Behind The Turnbuckle Studios' The Coach and Bro Show, Vince Russo reacted to The Visionary's comments, labelling him an amateur and a hack for publicly attacking him without ever meeting him in person or working with him in the industry or in any promotion.

"This is not how a pro acts if they're critiqued. This is how an amateur acts. This is how a hack acts. I made two statements about Seth Rollins that were very fair. People call him a great worker; I call him a great athlete. A great part of being a great worker is selling. Seth Rollins does not sell. Therefore, in my opinion, he's not a great worker," Russo explained.

After Russo explained how Seth Rollins' antics don't match with his in-ring character, the ex-WWE writer called the Men's Grand Slam Champion out and stated he's not a pro.

"Rather than saying that, I'm an idiot. I'm a jacka**. I'm a hanger-oner, and he hates me; that's what I mean by not being a pro. That's being an amateur. If that's your response to criticism, you're not a pro, and I've been saying that for God knows how many years," Russo said.

When will Seth Rollins return to WWE?

In October 2025, Seth Rollins finally scored a win over Cody Rhodes, but it came with a cost, as he injured his shoulder coming out of the match in Perth. Later, he was removed from The Vision and was written off the weekly product heading into Survivor Series.

In an appearance on Mohr Stories, the Men's Grand Slam Champion revealed that he's had surgery and the recovery would take up to 3-4 months before he could return to WWE as an in-ring performer. It'll be interesting to see if he can return to WWE before WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
