Lester Crest's voice actor in GTA 5, Jay Klaitz, feels GTA 6's rumored $100 price tag is justified for the amount of content players get. Since the game is only six months away, almost every single person related to Rockstar Games is asked at least one or two questions about it.
The same happened to Lester Crest's voice actor, Jay Klaitz, who was recently interviewed by The Escapist. The host asked whether the game deserves the whopping $100 price tag. To this, Klaitz agreed and stated how long it takes to create these games, especially due to all the motion captures of not only the main characters, but also for various kinds of NPCs.
He also pointed out that when players purchase a modern-day Grand Theft Auto, they not only receive the single-player experience, but also various goodies like extra in-game cash, the entire Online experience, and more. If they purchase a deluxe edition, they get even more, making the price tag somewhat justifiable.
"This s*** takes forever and as we saw with GTA V the game will come out and there will be other versions, there will be downloadable content, it will be online. You’re almost buying multiple games when you buy the one," Lester Crest's voice actor said.

"I would also like to see it made more accessible to more fans so I get that side of the argument too to make it affordable for folks. That’s cool too. Maybe there’s like a way to split the difference, but I share the sentiment that this game warrants that price tag. Yeah, I get that," he added.Take Two Interactive CEO's comments on GTA 6's price
In August 2025, Take Two Interactive's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, talked about GTA 6's price and value as a whole in an interview with Variety. He explained how Rockstar Games has focused on delivering more value than what they charge, resulting in variable pricing based on each game. He stated that Rockstar has followed the same pattern of releasing the game at a premium price, along with some special editions.
“Our goal always is to deliver more value than what we charge, so we’ve had variable pricing at the company forever. As you know, the approach of the industry is to launch at a premium price, sometimes with special editions, and over time, typically to reduce the price to enhance the overall size of the market. We do the very same thing," Zelnick said.He added that the company focuses on creating a great experience because they are well aware of how much people are paying for the game.
"I think, probably more than most, we’re highly focused on making sure that the experience is great, not just because the game itself is great, but also because consumers have paid a fair price for it,” he added.GTA 6 is currently set to release on May 26, 2026, almost six months from now. However, Rockstar Games has not announced anything about its price or editions. Even in this interview, Zelnick avoided spilling any specifics.
