Chicago Sky star Angel Reese made history on Wednesday after becoming the first professional athlete to walk in Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. However, the moment was downplayed by many, leading Fox Sports editor Tanya Ray Fox to call out the haters.
In a public rant on Monday, Fox called out "white women" for minimizing Reese's historic walk, as they claimed the forward wasn't up to the standards of a model.
"I have just seen three of the most forgettable-looking white women in my life get on this app and talk about Angel Reese," Fox expressed. "You think you look like Angel Reese? You don't think this (pointing to a picture of Angel Reese) is unattainable?"Continuing to obliterate the haters, Fox expressed how they were not in touch with reality before claiming they were all "racists."
"You're a racist loser, you have lost all ability to perceive yourself in reality, you have been told you are special purely because of your skin color. You are preferred solely because of your skin color for so long that your eyes and your brain don't f*cking work. You have actually lost the plot to such a degree that you are stupid enough to talk about Angel Reese's face card," Fox remarked.Despite the hate, Reese made history on Wednesday as she became the first professional athlete to earn the title of Victoria's Secret Angel. The Chicago Sky forward graced the runway at the brand’s fashion show in New York, redefining inclusivity as she seamlessly bridged the worlds of sports and modeling.
Angel Reese once shared her excitement about being the first pro-athlete to be named a Victoria's Secret Angel
Angel Reese has been breaking barriers ever since her time with LSU and has continued to do so after joining the WNBA. After delivering a standout season with the Chicago Sky, she made history off the court by becoming the first professional athlete to be named a Victoria’s Secret Angel.
However, before stepping onto the runway, Reese expressed her excitement about the opportunity in an interview with People magazine.
"I literally could not stop smiling!" Reese said. "I hope I can inspire women and girls everywhere and remind them that we can dominate in our field but also chase our goals outside of it."Reese has had a remarkable year in modeling, making her runway debut on Wednesday and being named the cover star for Vogue earlier this year.
