Paul Goldschmidt is having a career resurgence as a 37-year old with the New York Yankees.
He's doing everything well, but there's nothing he has done better than hit against left-handed pitching.
Check out Goldy's ridiculous stats vs. southpaws:
- .548 batting average
- 5 doubles
- 4 home runs
- 8 RBI
- 9 walks to 2 strikeouts
Goldschmidt is 23-for-42 overall against left-handers.
YES Network's Jack Curry summed those stats up simply, calling them "slow-pitch softball numbers."
Goldschmidt is hitting .344 overall.
He has four of his five homers vs. lefties.

Goldy has been useful against righties, yes, but it's his dominance against left-handed pitching that has him looking like one of the best hitters in baseball.
Goldschmidt has been a better hitter against lefties throughout his career.
His career OPS against right-handers is .852, a very solid mark. Against left-handers? It's an OPS of 1.023. That's domination.
As long as Goldschmidt keeps this up, the Yankees will remain one of the most fearsome offenses in baseball.
