Yankees named AL's biggest offensive threat for the second time

The New York Yankees were loaded with big-time hitters this past season. Offense was not hard to come by for this club as they had a handful of players that reached the 20-homer mark, and Aaron Judge, who hit 53 himself.

The offense was a large part of their success and had to carry the club at times. The pitching staff, especially the bullpen, struggled mightily, so hitting all the home runs and scoring runs in bunches paid off more times than one.

While much of the attention was drawn to Judge, you cannot overlook Jazz Chisholm Jr and Trent Grisham's career years at the plate. They were the only Bronx Bombers to secure 30 home runs during the regular season outside of Judge, with Cody Bellinger just behind them with 29.

On Friday, the Silver Slugger Award winners were announced. While this is typically viewed as a singular award, they have recently introduced Team of the Year awards starting in 2023.

The Yankees were named the American League's biggest offensive threat for the second time in three years.

"With Judge leading the charge, the Yankees scored 849 runs in 2025, the most in the Majors and 51 more than any other AL team."

On the National League side of things, the Los Angeles Dodgers were named Team of the Year. They, like the Yankees, had little trouble putting runs on the board, leading the NL with 244 home runs and 580 free trips to first base.
