Jazz Chisholm Jr. is coming off a career year with the bat in his hand in his second season with the New York Yankees. He stepped up for the club at the plate, playing in 130 regular-season games, hitting .242/.332/.481 with a career-high 31 home runs and 80 runs batted in.
He was also a member of the 30-30 Club, swiping 31 bags to match his 31 home runs. He has certainly elevated his game and is looking to continue doing so in 2026 by maintaining this impressive form.
The torpedo bat really worked out for him, and plenty of other Yankees' sluggers during the season. Next year, he may be someone opposing pitchers want to stay away from, but that is pretty hard to do when Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton are in that same lineup.
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm Jr. wins his first Silver Slugger Award
On Friday, it was announced that Jazz Chisholm Jr. had won his first Silver Slugger Award. He now joins a small group of Yankees' second basemen who have taken home the award.
Robinson Cano won the award five times, DJ LeMahieu won it twice, and Willie Randol and Alonso Soriano have won it once.
Chisholm is not the only Yankees slugger to win the award this year. Aaron Judge also took home the award, making it the fifth of his career. He is now tied with Robinson Cano, Derek Jeter, Jorge Posada, and Dave Winfield for most Silver Sluggers won by a member of the Bronx Bombers.
