Giancarlo Stanton's power has never been in question, even in recent seasons with the New York Yankees.
The tricky part for Stanton has been his health. It feels like there's always a new injury for the prodigious slugger.
But with Opening Day on the way, Stanton appears to be doing very well.
The best sign yet?
He tagged up from second base on a fly ball to centerfield to advance to third during Spring Training action on Sunday.
There are definitely plenty of examples of Stanton in recent years not even considering taking an extra base.
Sure, he may not be the fastest, but he at least is feeling a bit better about where his body is at.

Stanton is set to play DH this season for the Yankees, and he'll likely get starts as long as he's healthy and producing.
He's also approaching some history. He has 453 career home runs. It's unlikely he gets to 500 this year, but if he stays intact, it could be in his sights for 2027.
For now, Yankees fans will simply take the fact that Stanton looks and feels healthy. That's a good sign.
