Arsenal and Manchester City clash for the first major domestic honour of the English football season in Sunday's Carabao Cup final.
It is the first time in the competition's 66-year history that the teams placed first and second in England's top division have faced off in the final, and the form book favours Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta's men have a nine-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, although City have a game in hand, and they eased into the quarterfinals of the Champions League with a 2-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen in midweek.
City have won this trophy eight times in their history, with four of those triumphs coming in consecutive finals from 2018 to 2021 under Pep Guardiola. However, they have failed to beat Arsenal in the past six meetings between the sides and are nursing a chastening Champions League exit at the hands of familiar foes Real Madrid.
Will Arsenal win their first major trophy since Arteta's maiden FA Cup success back in 2020, igniting a challenge for honours on all fronts, or will City get the job done and perhaps sew a few seeds of doubt for the remainder of the title race?

Arsenal vs. Man City team news
Arsenal team news
- Kepa Arrizabalaga has been Arteta's cup goalkeeper and should get the nod here over David Raya.
- Jurrien Timber and Martin Odegaard could both be back in contention but Ben White may still get the nod at right-back.
- Viktor Gyokeres should hold off Kai Havertz to start up front.
Man City Team News
- Josko Gvardiol is Pep Guardiola's only remaining injury absentee. The Croatia international will only return for his club this term in the closing weeks of the season, if at all
- A more immediate defensive conundrum for Guardiola are the absences of Ruben Dias and Mark Guehi. Dias was substituted at halftime against Real Madrid in midweek and has suffered a hamstring strain. Guehi is ineligible, having completed his move from Crystal Palace to City after the first leg of the semifinal against Newcastle.
- Antoine Semenyo also signed for City in Janaury but his switch from Bournemouth was complete before the Newcastle tie, in which he opnened the scoring at St James' Park. The Ghana internaitonal is poised to start in support of Erling Haaland along with Rayan Cherki and Jeremy Doku.
