Over the past few years, there haven't been many more teams around Major League Baseball that have dealt with the injuries that the New York Yankees have.
The same could be said for this season, with multiple stars going down. One of them, Jazz Chisholm Jr., the Yankees' second baseman.
Chisholm is currently dealing with an oblique injury and has been on the IL since May 2.
According to NJ.com's Randy Miller, however, the Yankees are optimistic that he will return before the four to six week timeline and has already started to run and hit off a tee.
“The Yankees are optimistic that Chisholm’s 4-to-6 week return timeline will be on the short end because he’s already running and throwing full bore with hitting off a tee scheduled to begin Tuesday,” he wrote.

Miller reported that skipper Aaron Boone said he's doing well and that the final thing he needs is to feel comfortable hitting.
“He’s doing pretty well,” Boone said. “He’s certainly chopping at the bit and pushing a little bit. He’s been running and throwing already, so we’ll just see, as far as the hitting progression goes."
Prior to going down with this injury, Chisholm struggled mightily, hitting .181 with 39 strikeouts in 105 at-bats.
His power numbers were much better than they have been over the past few years, hitting seven home runs.
Regardless, Chisholm, one of the Yankees' better players, will be needed for this team to get where it wants to be. It'll be interesting to see when he returns and how he looks, but the return could come in the near future.
