Yankees’ Cody Bellinger gets shocking prediction ahead of 2026 season that would impact Aaron Judge

Cody Bellinger and the New York Yankees enter the season with high hopes again. While Bellinger is still a very good player, he’s not someone the Yankees expect to win MVP, as those are tied up for Aaron Judge.

However, Jake Elman of FanSided believes that isn’t the case. He predicted that Bellinger would win the AL MVP Award in what would be a bounce-back season.

If Elman’s prediction were to come true, he’d become just the third player to win the MVP award in both leagues.

“This is perhaps the boldest take on this list, but hear me out. Bellinger is going to hit in a Yankees lineup with Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and Jazz Chisholm Jr., among others.

“Teams are going to need to pitch to him in a way that they can’t with Judge, and that they might not want to do with Stanton, especially if he’s healthy and amid a power surge,” he wrote.

With Judge hitting around Bellinger, opposing pitchers aren’t in a good spot when it comes to Bellinger. If they pitch around Judge, Bellinger would get more hittable pitches. If pitchers go after Bellinger, it only leads to more production.

It’d be somewhat surprising to see Bellinger do this, but he has the talent.
