Yankees' Aaron Judge matches Babe Ruth in MLB history

Aaron Judge continues to solidify his place among the greatest hitters of all time.

At this point, you don't even have to check the New York Yankees' box score each day. You can just assume Judge did something cool the night before.

And yes, he homered on Monday night. Of course he did. He's now got 14 home runs on the season.

In fact, Judge has quite the combination of statistics through 35 team games.

He has 14 homers, 27 RBI, 27 walks and 32 runs. Only five players ever have done that before Judge, according to Baseball Reference's Katie Sharp.

Before Judge, it had been done a total of seven times -- that's because Babe Ruth did it three times, in 1926 and 1928 and 1930.

Stan Musial was next to do it, with the Cardinals legend getting off to this historically fast start in 1954.

Next up? Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Mike Schmidt.

And then amazingly, two guys did it in 2006: Albert Pujols and Jim Thome.

Now 20 years later, Judge joins this exclusive group.

It's really every aspect of offense you could want.

Hitting the ball out of the yard is clearly a big deal still.

Driving in runs is important. So is scoring runs.

And the walks prove Judge is patient even in the midst of doing damage. He knows it's important to get on base.

Right now, Judge is doing his job in the batter's box about as well as anyone ever has. When you compare it to Ruth, it's tough to beat that.
