Aaron Judge is having one of the all-time great seasons through the month of April.
He's hitting above .400 with his legendary power still in full supply.
But on Sunday, in Game 1 of the Yankees' doubleheader against the Blue Jays, Judge had an absolutely inexplicable at bat.
Facing Kevin Gausman, Judge took the first strike, a 92mph fastball.
Then he took the next strike, a 93mph fastball.
And then he took strike three, a 94mph fastball.
None of the pitches was particularly center cut, and the two-strike toss was dotted on the edge of the zone.

But how often do you see Judge just stare at three fastballs? Basically never.
Especially considering how locked in he is, it was a big surprise.
He must've been thinking at some point Gausman was going to spin him a breaking ball, and maybe if Gausman had, we'd have seen what Judge was sitting on.
But instead, Gausman threw three fastballs that Judge didn't swing at, and that was the end of his weirdest at bat of the season.
