Professional darts: What is the PDC's US Darts Masters

3 hours ago 1

The US Darts Masters is the North American leg of the Professional Darts Corporation’s World Series of Darts and, thanks, at least in part, to a legendary venue at Madison Square Garden, is fast becoming its most iconic.

The 2025 staging of the bet365 US Darts Masters will take place in New York on June 27-28, as Luke Littler and reigning champion Rob Cross make their return to The Theater.

Staged across two days the World Series of Darts (WSoD) event sees the eight biggest  stars in darts taking on eight North American representatives in an eagerly-awaited event. Over the years non PDC stars have scored many impressive wins, made breakthroughs and reputations in the global series.

Canadian Jeff Smith reached the final at MSG two years ago and Australian Damon Heta won a rubber 'down under', kick starting his impressive professional career which sees him now added to the list of PDC stars for WSoD events.

The Professional Darts Corporation’s “World Series of Darts” tournament takes the sport’s leading players on a  global tour – with this year’s events including visits to Bahrain, the Netherlands, Denmark, Poland,  Australia and New Zealand as well as returning to New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden.

Eight top PDC players face off in New York against eight North American representatives, who  include three Tour Card-holding professionals and five qualifiers from the PDC-affiliated  Championship Darts Corporation (CDC) circuit which hosts events in North America to develop the  next generation of domestic players.

Alongside the US Darts Masters, the events at MSG will include the bet365 North American  Championship in the afternoon of June 27, which features the eight players from the US & Canada competing for a place in the World Darts Championship.

The North American participants will include Canadian duo Matt Campbell and Jim Long, as well as American trio Jules van Dongen, Danny Lauby and Leonard Gates. There are three more places, for North American stars, up for grabs in the coming months.
