Xander Schauffele recently visited Miami with his wife, Maya, during the PGA Tour break. The PGA Tour’s regular season has ended, and this week, Schauffele isn't playing in any tournaments.
Maya shared three photos from their Miami trip and captioned them:
“Mom and Dad take on Miami. I now know who I want to be when I grow up.”Xander Schauffele’s last PGA Tour win came at the Baycurrent Classic, and after the tournament, he joined a press conference to share his experience. He said (via Tee Scripts):
“Yeah, it was a very strange week with the weather I think just for everybody. It's been a while since we've sort of battled the elements of no wind to a lot of wind to rain all day, back to no wind. Just proud of Austin and I hung in there all day knowing that it was going to take a low one."Schauffele’s other top-10 finishes in the 2025 season came at the Masters Tournament (T8), the Genesis Scottish Open (T8), and the Open (T7).
When Xander Schauffele talked about his wife's emotional side after his 2024 PGA Championship win
Following his 2024 PGA Championship win, Xander Schauffele told People Magazine how much his wife's support meant to him at the time. He added that she was emotional after his victory because she knew how much it meant to him to have won his maiden major event. He said:
“My wife has the most inside track to my emotions on a day-to-day basis, so she just knows how much not winning has been wearing on me…My wife keeps me grounded, so I know she was emotional just because she knows how much this means to me and she's been so supportive my entire career, and it's really cool for me to share it with her.”At the PGA Championship, Schauffele scored 24 under in total. He fired 62 in the opening round of the tournament with four birdies on the front nine and five birdies on the back nine. Next, he shot 68 with four birdies in total.
In the third round, Xander Schauffele made 68 with one birdie on the front nine and four birdies on the back nine. The last round saw 65 with four birdies on the front nine and three birdies on the back nine.
In 2024, Schauffele also won the Open Championship, ensuring that Americans won all four majors in the same calendar year for the eleventh time and the first time in 42 years.
