Natalya has revealed that WWE threatened to fire her. The two-time Women's World Champion has been with the promotion for nearly two decades and is one of the longest-serving and most reliable performers.

However, back in 2015, her future with the company was under threat. This was the year her husband, TJ Wilson, suffered a career-ending injury after a Muscle Buster from Samoa Joe during a match.

As Wilson recovered from the neck injury, he sought clarification from WWE, but they handled situation very differently. In her new book, The Last Hart Beating, Natalya revealed that WWE threatened to fire her if she spoke about the injury at work.

She writes that even after nine months since Wilson's injury they hadn't heard back about any kind of restitution from the company. Nattie said her husband only wanted an apology, but his lawyer told him that it won't happen since it would mean WWE admitting their fault.

The veteran female star adds that the promotion's version of what happened was different from what Wilson was saying. She revealed that the company told her that if she talked about the injury at work or criticized them, they would let her go.

Natalya said that this had her feeling as if she were in enemy territory and was afraid to talk about her husband's career-ending injury.

Natalya said Vince McMahon was like a father to her

During a recent appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Natalya talked about the complicated relationship she had with her father, Jim Neidhart.

She said her father tried to do his best but struggled a lot to be a great parent. She then mentioned how Vince McMahon was like a father to many stars and was there for her when her own dad passed away.

She said that Vince was there for her when her father couldn't be present, and he was the first person she called when Jim Neidhart passed away.
