WWE SmackDown Results: Shocking title change; former world champion suspended (11/7/2025)

Cody Rhodes kicked off WWE SmackDown and talked about his match against Drew McIntyre. He praised Drew, but also said that he likes to get in his own way before moving on to other things. He wanted to watch the show tonight from the front row and decide who was next in line to face him.

Aleister Black and Zelina Vega were out next, and Black said that he had been waiting for Damian Priest to do something new. Cody was looking like he was about to attack Black, but Vega ran up and slapped him in the face.

Nick Aldis came in and said that since tensions were high, Black and Cody could face each other later in the main event.

Ilja Dragunov was next and called for the open challenge before Ciampa showed up with the rest of DIY and said he would take it up this week, since he was denied last week. Ilja accepted the challenge but then added that he would like to face Johnny Gargano instead. Ciampa told Gargano to go for it before we headed for the match.

WWE SmackDown Results: Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. Johnny Gargano - United States Championship match

Ciampa got a cheap shot from the ringside before Gargano took control of the match. Dragunov came back with some German Suplexes before hitting Constantine Special.

Gargano got a superkick and a Poison Frankensteiner before blocking the H Bomb. Le Rae interfered and delayed the Constantine Special from the champ before Dragunov came back with a deadlift suplex and hit the H-Bomb for the win.

Result: Ilja Dragunov def. Johnny Gargano to retain the United States Championship

Sami Zayn wanted to be at ringside for Rey Fenix's match tonight, but Nick Aldis reminded him that he was not cleared to compete in any way.

R-Truth/Ron Cena wanted to be in the Last Time is Now Tournament, but Nick said that the picks were already made.

Jade Cargill was out celebrating her win and said that what happened to Tiffany Stratton could happen to anyone.

WWE SmackDown Results: Charlotte Flair vs. Nia Jax

Jax got the early takedown, and Charlotte sent her into the ropes before getting a dropkick. Nia sent her into the turnbuckles before Flair got some chops in. Charlotte got the diving crossbody before getting a superkick and a chop block.

The screen went dark for a possible wardrobe malfunction before we came back to see Nia Jax in the corner, taking a big knee strike. Charlotte hit the Tornado DDT before Lash Legend from NXT came out and choked Alexa Bliss out at ringside. Flair was distracted, and Nia got the annihilator for the win.

Result: Nia Jax def. Charlotte Flair

Nick Aldis announced the next two matches in the Last Time is Now tournament: Jey Uso vs. The Miz and LA Knight vs. a surprise opponent. Could there be a big debut or return soon?

WWE SmackDown Results: Giulia (c) vs. Chelsea Green - Women’s United States Championship match

Giulia got a big headbutt early on before getting the Arrividerci for a near fall right away. Alba Fyre interfered, but Giulia kept the pressure on, and Kiana James got a cheap shot on Green.

Alba Fyre took Kiana out with a big kick at ringside, and Giulia defended James by taking Fyre out with a dropkick. Green used the distraction to roll Giulia up and pick up the win!

Result: Chelsea Green def. Giulia to become the new Women’s United States Champion

Alexa Bliss was nursing her injury from earlier, and Charlotte was giving her a pep talk when Asuka came in out of nowhere and hit them with the green mist.

Motor City Machine Guns and Shinsuke Nakamura attacked Solo and the MFT as they were making his entrance. Rey Fenix joined in, and they delivered a beatdown on the MFT before Talla Tonga got in the ring, and the match started.

WWE SmackDown Results: Talla Tonga vs. Rey Fenix

The much larger Talla Tonga was in control early on and got a big boot before Fenix took some big strikes. Rey was down on the mat for most of the match, but came back on his feet before getting some ineffective offense that Talla just swatted away.

Rey came back with some kicks and a springboard crossbody before getting caught off a dive and taking the powerbomb. Talla grabbed Rey by the throat and hit the chokeslam for the win.

Result: Talla Tonga def. Rey Fenix

Solo and the MFT were about to attack Rey, but Sami Zayn came out with a steel chair and chased them off on SmackDown.

Grade: C

The Miz said that he deserves to face John Cena more than anyone, and he shouldn't even have to win the tournament to get the match, but he will.

WWE SmackDown Results: Cody Rhodes vs. Aleister Black

Black was in control early and took Cody down before slamming his head on the announce desk outside. Back in the ring, Cody got some strikes in and got the disaster kick before Black came back with some kicks to the face.

Rhodes got the Cody Cutter before Black countered the Bionic Elbow. Cody countered Black Mass and Black countered the Cross Rhodes before both took each other out with big boots.

Drew McIntyre came in with a Claymore to the referee, and Cody attacked Drew in the ring! Black took advantage, and it turned into a two-on-one attack on Cody. Damian Priest came out and took Black down before Drew attacked him as well.

Result: D.N.F

Grade: B+

We got an all-out brawl on SmackDown, leading to Zelina attacking Priest, and Black used the distraction to attack Damian in the eye he had injured. Cody hit the Cross Rhodes on Drew in the ring before Nick Aldis came out and said that he had had enough and was suspending McIntyre!

With that, WWE SmackDown went off the air.
