John Cena's final match is right on the horizon, and fans have not been able to stop talking about it. The Franchise Player's legendary career is set to come to an end and the Greatest of All Time is up for a massive challenge aheadf of him in his final battle.
Cena is set to face Gunther in his final match, and getting over the latter's dominance and mometum won't be easy. However, the most disappointing possibility is that the Franchise Player's final match could kick off Saturday Night's Main Event this weekend, which had left the world disheartened.
A new update from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select revealed that the placement of Cena's match within the card isn't official yet. The update added that numerous people within the company wanted to Cena to main event, but him kicking off the show is also 'on the table', as earlier reported during Wrestling Observer Live as well.
"Wrestlevotes Radio asked within WWE and said that the majority of people within WWE want John Cena to close the show, but that both ideas have been floated. There were numerous within power that want John Cena to close the show. There are not firm details on the placement, but that Cena opening the show is 'on the table,'" the report states. Will John Cena lose his final WWE match?
While Cena might leave the world disappointed by kicking off the show rather than main eventing, he should not lose his final match. Closing a career filled with greatness, Cena doesn't need to elevate Gunther more by letting the latter win.
Winning the Last Time Is Now tournament is a massive accolade in its own, and the Ring General doens't need a victory to enhance his heel run. Fans will now have to wait and see what WWE has planned for Cena's final match this weekend.
