Stephanie Vaquer is the #1 target on Monday Night RAW as the Women's World Champion, and during the pre-taped show, a blockbuster title defense was announced for the Women's World Champion. Some interesting names are involved.

Stephanie Vaquer's reign as Women's World Champion has been an interesting one. She hasn't had a flurry of challengers come her way, but still, being the World Champion, she naturally has a target on her back. Recently on RAW, Liv Morgan teased being a part of the Women's World Championship picture, but Raquel Rodriguez decided to hijack those plans. For context, Nikki Bella, who Vaquer beat at Survivor Series, came out to make another claim for a title shot before Rodriguez slammed her into the ringpost and took her out. In doing so, she effectively announced herself as the de facto #1 contender, and Liv Morgan surprisingly seemed ok stepping aside, prioritizing going after the Women's Tag Team Titles with Roxanne Perez, with whom she has been on the same page.

However, as you might know, Raquel Rodriguez's World Title shot was hijacked by Nikki Bella. As a result, Stephanie Vaquer called both Rodriguez and WWE legend Nikki Bella out, and a Triple Threat Match for the Women's World Title is now official for December 29th on RAW.

What's surprising is that they didn't hold off on having this match on the January 5th edition of RAW, which is the first anniversary of the show's Netflix premiere (one day shy, anyway).

It's going to be interesting to see what WWE's plans are for this match could be, as Stephanie Vaquer having a title defense on January 5th would have seemingly been a lot more suitable. It would have only taken one week of delay for this to happen.
