Welcome to another edition of the WWE News Roundup, where we bring you the latest developments in the world of the Stamford-based promotion. Today's edition has updates about a shocking title change on television, WWE's plans to not bring back a legend for any future matches, and more.
Without further delay, let's get started.
4. WWE reunion delayed; legend to replace RAW star
Penta injured his shoulder during his match against Solo Sikoa in the Last Time is Now Tournament. The Mexican attempted a hurricanrana from the barricade and landed awkwardly, and the match had to be called off as he was unable to continue.

Penta was set to reunite with his brother, Rey Fenix, at AAA's Guerra De Titanes event this Saturday. However, in a recently uploaded video on Instagram, the former AEW star revealed that he had not been cleared and that he would be replaced by Rey Mysterio in the match.
3. Backstage chaos after unplanned title change on live TV
On the latest edition of NXT, Blake Monroe defended her NXT Women's North American Championship against Thea Hail. The original outcome was supposed to be Monroe retaining her title. However, the champion was unable to convincingly kick out of a pinfall attempt by Hail, causing the referee to count to three and give the challenger the win.
The situation was made even more confusing when the production team played Blake Monroe's music after the bell rang. It was clearly not the planned outcome, and the creative team was reportedly left scrambling to make sense of the situation and change plans.
2. WWE could seemingly fire Triple H soon after a recent controversy, says veteran
The WWE Universe was left stunned when John Cena tapped out to Gunther in his retirement match. The crowd in attendance booed Triple H out of the building when he came out to the ring to pay respect to the legend. On a recent edition of the Coach and Bro Show, Vince Russo claimed WWE could fire Triple H following the backlash from the fans.
"I’m gonna make a bold prediction. I think that marked the beginning of the end for Triple H. I’m gonna tell you right now because the people have turned on him, because those boos were not just for the finish of a match. Those boos were for the last year, and the way this entire thing was penned out under his pen and under his guidance, and that’s where the boos were coming from. And that very, very, very well could be the beginning of the end because there has been a turn on Triple H." (H/T - TJRWrestling)1. WWE does not want to bring back retired star for any future matches
Heading into his final match, John Cena made it abundantly clear that he would not return to the ring for any future matches. Now, according to a report from Fightful Select, WWE does not have any plans to ask the 17-time world champion to ever return to the ring as well.
John Cena is one of the few wrestlers to have made it clear that his retirement would be final, due to the unpredictable nature of pro wrestling retirements and legends eventually coming back for one more match. However, it seems that he will turn his focus solely to his Hollywood career following the end of his run as an in-ring competitor.
