Welcome to the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's WWE News Roundup for October 30, 2025. In this edition, we'll cover a legendary wrestler's massive return, The Undertaker's unfortunate car accident, and The GOAT: John Cena's possible heel turn before his retirement.

There is another big news related to Logan Paul's absence from the Stamford-based promotion and an ex-WWE star's injury update. So, let's get started.

#5. Former WWE star Ridge Holland shared his injury update

Ridge Holland was let go by WWE in September 2025. This was a shocking release by the company as the former Brawling Brutes member was out of in-ring action with a foot injury.

He recently took to Instagram to share a massive update on his injury status. Holland uploaded a video of his foot after he underwent surgery and highlighted in the post's caption that it was his first physical therapy session.

"First day of PT! #recovery #surgery," he wrote.

Many people have called out WWE over Ridge Holland's firing, as they believe the company could have kept him employed at least until he fully recovered.

#4. John Cena met popular WWE heels

John Cena is on the tail end of his WWE career. The 17-time World Champion is known for giving back to the business. He recently took out time from his busy schedule to visit developmental stars at the Performance Center, where he happily posed alongside several NXT stars.

Popular NXT heel faction DarkState's Osiris Griffin and Dion Lennox also got the chance to hang out with The GOAT at the Performance Center. Griffin uploaded a photo with Cena, while Lennox wrote a message on X/Twitter, revealing that he received some advice from The Cenation Leader.

John Cena only has four dates left on his retirement tour; it wouldn't be a surprise if the Triple H-led creative team has planned something for Cena with the heel group DarkState on NXT, which will help the stable attract more eyes in the developmental brand. It could be a final glimpse of the 17-time World Champion's heel run.

#3. Logan Paul is waiting for Triple H's call

Logan Paul hasn't been seen on WWE TV since his match against John Cena at Clash in Paris 2025. Amid his absence, The Maverick uploaded a new YouTube vlog.

In the clip, his friend Mike Majlak said that the former United States Champion was barely on the Stamford-based promotion's weekly programming, to which Logan replied that he was waiting for a call from Triple H.

"But you barely even do anything, though," Mike highlighted. "Yeah, I'm just waiting for the call from Triple H," Logan revealed.

Many believe Logan Paul will return before Survivor Series: WarGames 2025. It will be interesting to see if the Triple H-led creative team has planned something for The Maverick at Survivor Series.

#2. WWE legend Rey Mysterio is returning to AAA

Rey Mysterio has been absent from WWE TV for quite some time. The Hall of Famer last competed inside the ring in April 2025. Although he hasn't been seen in the Stamford-based promotion, the legend has been making sporadic appearances in AAA.

Lucha Libre's official X/Twitter handle recently uploaded a video featuring Rey Mysterio. In the clip, The Master of 619 revealed that he will be present at the AAA Guerra De Titanes 2025 on December 20.

It will be interesting to see when the WWE Hall of Famer will return to in-ring competition.

#1. The Undertaker was in an unfortunate car accident

During a recent edition of the 2 Bears, 1 Cave podcast, The Undertaker shared a couple of weeks-old incident where he backed up his truck into the car next to him.

The Phenom revealed that his truck's back wheels ran over the hood of the car, but fortunately, no one was hurt, and the owner of the car happened to be a fan of 'The Deadman.'

"So, couple weeks ago, I’m at Whole Foods. I went to buy some steaks, right? I was going to grill some steaks, and I'm parked. I backed into a spot at Whole Foods, and you get stopped a couple of times in the store. So, now, I’m a bit late. So, I get in, throw the steaks in the truck, I jump in, and I pull out. The truck is so high that I didn’t see the car next to me. I ran right over the front end of this car. My back wheels ran right over the hood.”
