A major WWE Hall of Famer is set to bid an emotional farewell to his iconic gimmick in the next few days. Ricochet reacted to this update on X while also subtly taking a shot at the Legend. The Hall of Famer in question is none other than the Icon Sting who is set to retire his face paint at the end of this year.

At the beginning of 2025, the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion had announced that he will stop wearing his iconic face paint in 2026. He started wearing the Black and White face paint after taking up the crow gimmick in the late 90s during the Monday Night Wars between WCW and WWF.

He is set to make his final appearance with the face paint on December 20th and 21st in Pittsburgh. In his latest tweet, the Lightskin Kingpin reacted to Sting's upcoming final appearance with the face paint by showing his respect to the Hall of Famer. On the other hand, a fan replied to the champ's tweet by saying that he could squash the WCW Legend. The former WWE United States Champion agreed with comment in snarky fashion.

"ICON." He wrote.

Fans have shown their immense support to Sting during all the meet and greets he has done this year since he won't be wearing any face paint afterwards.

The AEW President Tony Khan showered immense praise at Ricochet

While speaking to Josh Martinez on Z100 New York, The All Elite Wrestling President spoke well about the AEW National Champion. He praised his in-ring work and stated that he's one of the best wrestlers in the world and has a very compelling character.

"He’s one of the most compelling and interesting people in wrestling in my personal opinion....I’m incredibly impressed with him. I’m proud that AEW has Ricochet on our roster for years to come and hopefully forever because that guy is a star. I love working with him and I think Trevor is one of the best wrestlers on the planet," said Khan. [H/T: Sports Illustrated]

Fans are excited to see Ricochet in the ring next week against Bandido for the Dynamite Diamond Ring.
