WWE Hall of Famer reveals why Bron Breakker must defeat CM Punk

A WWE Hall of Famer has explained why Bron Breakker must defeat CM Punk next week on RAW. The Second City Saint is scheduled to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Breakker next week on the red brand.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray revealed why Bron Breakker should defeat Punk to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. He noted that the WWE RAW star has been delivering great promos in recent weeks, but that would all go away if he came up short in the title match against Punk.

"With the promos that Bron has been cutting, especially last night with the crescendo of the voice, with the crescendo of the credibility, with 'I'm the dog that nobody else is. Not only am I going to bark, I am going to bite.' If he loses, I think he loses all of that and you just go, 'Meh, kid, you still need more time. You are getting too big for your britches, you're all bark and no bite.' And that is why I think he has to win," said Bully Ray.

Bron Breakker is a part of The Vision faction on WWE RAW alongside Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and Paul Heyman. Seth Rollins used to be the leader of the faction, but he was betrayed as a way to write him off television. Rollins suffered an injury during his match against Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel 2025 and had to relinquish the World Heavyweight Championship earlier this year.

Former WWE star praises Bron Breakker's talent

Wrestling veteran Maven discussed Bron Breakker and stated that he was looking forward to his future in WWE.

Speaking on TMZ's Inside the Ring podcast, the former Tough Enough winner stated that he was looking forward to the rest of the 28-year-old's career and complimented his recent appearance on ESPN.

"I'm looking forward to the career of Bron. I think Bron lends a bit of athleticism that we just have not seen. Just the intrigue, whenever I see a one-of-one person, and you know Bron's a one-of-one, God does not make many people like Bron Breakker (…) I'm looking forward to seeing where his career takes him. I saw him representing the company well, too (…) I saw him on ESPN a few months back and I was not expecting much out of him, and I left being like, 'Holy cow!' He is somehow the best of Rick [Steiner] and Scott [Steiner] and even improved. So, he's the one that I'm eagerly looking forward to," Maven said.

Only time will tell if Bron Breakker can capture the World Heavyweight Championship from CM Punk next week on WWE RAW.
