Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about a huge missed opportunity with Jade Cargill. The star is the current WWE Women's Champion.

Jade was seen as a huge prospect from the moment she showed up in the company. She was initially slotted as a tag team with Bianca Belair. The two women won the Women's Tag Team Championships. However, their run ended unceremoniously as Cargill was written off TV and Naomi replaced her.

On a recent episode of Writing with Russo, the veteran writer noted that WWE had a great tag team in Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. He felt the creative team botched their run as a tandem. Russo recalled there were reports of the two stars not getting along, but he felt that's where higher management needed to step in and straighten things out. He stated the Binaca-Jade pair-up was a huge missed opportunity.

"I think where they had money, and it was so short-lived, I think they had money in Jade and Bianca. I mean, that was perfect. They were buying the same gear. We were hearing they weren't getting along behind the scenes. Bro, you fix that. If that's money, I don't want to hear you not getting along. You're getting along or neither one of you is gonna have a job. That was money. Like we were putting that over. That looked like a million dollars."

The Storm finally showed her dominance at Saturday Night's Main Event as she dethroned Tiffany Stratton. Cargill fought off Stratton and finally won her first Women's title in the company, planting her opponent with the Jaded.

This past week on SmackDown, Jade Cargill addressed the WWE Universe for the first time as the Women's Champion.
