Wuthering Waves 3.0 preload guide and update size

The Wuthering Waves 3.0 preload is available across mobile, PC, and PS5. With the launch of the highly anticipated Lahai-Roi region imminent, Kuro Games has released the essential game files that you can download ahead of time so that you can jump into the action within moments of the update's release. Version 3.0 of Wuthering Waves is set to come out on December 25, 2025.

Wuthering Waves 3.0 preload guide

The Wuthering Waves 3.0 update is set to release on December 25, 2025, at 11 am (UTC+8). The preload is available as of now, starting on December 23, and you will be able to download the essential game files ahead of the update's release.

Preload for PC

• Launch the Wuthering Waves launcher on your PC.
• Click on the Pre-Install icon located beside the Start button to open a pop-up window displaying the Resource Package Size and storage requirements.
• Hit Download to confirm the process.

Preload for mobile

• Boot up Wuthering Waves on your mobile device (iPhone or Android phone).
• Navigate to the login screen.
• Click on the Pre-Download icon located at the bottom right corner of the screen. Doing so will open a pop-up window showing the storage requirements.
• Click on Confirm to download the patch files.

Preload for PlayStation 5

• Boot up your console and highlight Wuthering Waves on your homescreen
• Press the Options button and select Check for Updates.
• This will initiate the download of the version's game files.

Only users of the launcher will get the preload option for PC. Steam users will have to wait for the update day, December 25, 2025, to be able to download the game files, as there is no Wuthering Waves 3.0 preload available on Valve's marketplace.

Wuthering Waves 3.0 update file size

Kuro Games has revealed the file size of the update for the PC and mobile platforms. Here is how much storage you will need to perform the Wuthering Waves 3.0 preload:

• PC: 36 GB. To ensure smoother subsequent processes, such as decompressing, it is recommended that you have at least 50 GB of spare storage space on your PC.
• Android/iOS: 18 GB. Approximately 58 GB of storage space is needed for the decompression process. This space will be used only temporarily and will be freed up once the maintenance is completed.

You will need some temporary extra space that will be occupied till the Wuthering Waves 3.0 maintenance is over.
