On November 15, episodes 11 and 12 of Would You Marry Me were released on Disney+. The story centers on Kim Woo-joo (Choi Woo-shik), who is the fourth-generation successor of Myungsoondang, an 80-year-old bakery. Meticulous and determined, he heads the marketing team in the company.
Then there is Yoo Me-ri (Jung So-min), a designer from a partner firm. After a broken engagement and a fraudulent lease, Me-ri wins a newlywed’s townhouse. To safeguard the prize, she recruits Kim Woo-joo, who shares his name with her ex-fiancé, to pose as her husband. The arrangement forces both characters into a staged married life. However, as the rom-com concludes, Woo-joo and Me-ri wed and embark on their happily ever after.

In the latest episode of Would You Marry Me, Woo-joo notices a tattoo on Min-jeong that matches the mark linked to his parents’ deaths. The discovery causes him severe panic, and he seeks support from Me-ri.
Me-ri says Min-jeong once worked at Myungsoondang, indicating a long-planned fraud with Han-gu. Woo-joo then confronts Han-gu, who admits his involvement and cites the statute of limitations. However, officers arrest Han-gu on embezzlement charges shortly after.
Woo-joo produces dashcam footage dated 26 April 2009, showing Han-gu plotting the crime. The timestamp proves the criminal limitation has not expired. A court convicts Han-gu and sentences him to death. A few days later, the chairwoman awakens, and Myungsoondang regains its original name and standing.
During the gathering, office colleagues inform Me-ri and Woo-joo that their relationship was already known within the workplace. Wu-ju, meanwhile, loses work and discloses Woo-joo and Me-ri’s fake marriage used to secure the Beauté Palace Department Store. Eung-soo confronts his father in prison, severs ties, and pledges to care for his mother.
On the other hand, Jin-gyeong and Sang-hyun grow closer after he shares his orphanage background and she offers encouragement. Would You Marry Me’s finale asks with the Beauté's CEO asking Sang-hyun to take responsibility for the Yongdu Beauté Department Store licensing deal.
Sang-hyun recalls Jin-gyeong’s warning about not taking responsibility for something he hasn’t done. So, when reporters question Sang-hyun about lobbying and whether he followed the CEO’s orders. He tells the press he will cooperate with the inquiry. Later, Sang-hyun calls the CEO and denies admitting to actions he did not commit.
Meanwhile, Woo-ju schedules a press briefing to allege that Me-ri and Woo-joo’s marriage is false. Beauté's legal team interrupts Woo-ju’s planned briefing and files suit against him for defamation and business interference. The company seeks $10 million in damages.
Me-ri watches the confrontation and comforts Woo-ju, urging him to remember their good moments and leave the grudges. Me-ri’s divorce decree is filed. She then. formally renounces ownership of the townhouse prize. That night, Sang-hyun thanks Jin-gyeong for urging him to stand up for himself.
They run together before Sang-hyun begins his prison sentence. He tells Jin-gyeong he will visit often. The next day, Woo-joo prepares to introduce Me-ri to his grandmother. Before the meeting, Woo-ju’s mother and sister tell the grandmother that Me-ri is divorced and accused of fraud.
The grandmother cancels the visit, citing illness. Me-ri’s mother later confronts Woo-ju’s relatives over the falsehoods. That very night, Woo-joo proposes to Me-ri with a green plastic ring. She accepts, and they kiss. Woo-joo asks his grandmother for another chance, and she agrees to meet Me-ri.
By the end of the episode, Eung-soo resigns from Myungsoondang to pursue a career in gaming. Moreover, Woo-joo assumes the CEO role at Myungsoondang. The episode concluded with Me-ri and Woo-joo marrying.
Could there be a follow-up season to Would You Marry Me?
Would You Marry Me (Image via X/@SBSNOW)Season two of Would You Marry Me seems unlikely. The producers have not announced a follow-up, and the finale wraps every major storyline with no open arcs. The central arc ends with Woo-joo and Me-ri’s happy conclusion, as the two get married.
Regarding Myungsoondang’s future, Woo-joo officially steps into the CEO role. Legally, Han-gu’s case reaches a final verdict. With that, the personal threads also settle. Me-ri’s divorce decree is filed, and Woo-joo lets go of his resentment toward her, closing his revenge arc.
Sang-hyun accepts responsibility in the licensing dispute and begins his sentence. Jin-gyeong stays in touch through letters and welcomes him with a warm smile at the wedding. Eung-soo resigns to pursue a career in gaming and takes on caring for his mother.
On November 14, the penultimate episode of Would You Marry Me posted the series’ highest ratings to date. Nielsen Korea reported a nationwide average of 7.9%.
