Perez Hilton shared his thoughts on Millie Bobby Brown’s recent revelation that she planned to keep details about her daughter private. In a November 6 article published on his website, Hilton discussed Brown’s British Vogue interview from Wednesday, November 5.

During this interview, the Stranger Things star opened up about life as a new parent alongside her husband, Jake Bongiovi. However, Brown made it clear that she intended to protect her daughter’s privacy.

“In fact, Millie assured the outlet she’s not even going to share her daughter’s name until she’s ready to decide for herself. Wow, we wonder how long that will be? Until she’s a teen? As old as Millie when she became famous?” Hilton remarked.

In his website article, Perez Hilton further highlighted how Millie Bobby Brown was deeply committed to her new role as a parent

“Millie Bobby Brown LOVES being a momma to her little one! But priority one? Protecting her daughter as much as possible,” he wrote

He then summarized that while Brown shared glimpses of her family life in the British Vogue interview, she was also careful to set limits.

The actress reportedly established “firm boundaries” regarding what she was willing to share about her child and what she intended to “absolutely not” reveal to the public. Brown had explained that it was “really important” for her to “protect her” daughter and her story “until she’s old enough” to “potentially one day share it herself.”

“It’s not my place to purposefully put her in the spotlight unwillingly. If she chooses to share her personality one day with the world, like I did when I was young, that’s something we’d support. But right now, as she’s so little. As her parents, it’s our job to protect her from that,” Hilton wrote, citing what Brown had said.

Hilton reflected on Brown’s stance, noting that fame often complicated privacy for celebrities.

He then pointed out that while some public figures freely shared their children’s lives online, others went to great lengths to keep them out of the spotlight altogether. Citing this contrast, he speculated that the Stranger Things star was taking the latter approach.

During her interview with British Vogue, published on Wednesday, November 5, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown opened up about embracing motherhood after she and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, adopted a baby girl earlier this year.

Brown revealed that their decision to adopt felt natural, given their shared love for family life.

“I really want a big family — I’m one of four; he’s one of four. I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different [than] adopting,” she explained.

The young couple, who began dating in 2021, quietly tied the knot in May 2024. They announced the arrival of their daughter in August through a heartfelt Instagram post.

“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” the post read.

Speaking to British Vogue, Brown reflected on how motherhood had reshaped her life.

“It’s been a beautiful, amazing journey — she’s taught us so much already. Perspective is a huge thing. The smaller things in life are so much more precious. Our days are filled with lots of cuddles, laughter, and love. It’s just endless joy,” Millie Bobby Brown shared.

When discussing how she and Bongiovi managed parenting duties, Brown said they shared responsibilities equally and that she felt grateful to have a supportive partner who fully embraced fatherhood. She emphasized that they were “50-50 on everything” and described Jake as “the most amazing dad.”

Brown’s wish to start a family had been a long-standing dream.

In a March 10 episode of the SmartLess podcast, she reflected on how her parents inspired her approach to parenthood. She said that her mother had her first child at 21 and her father at 19. Becoming a young parent, she said, always felt natural. Since childhood, she would tell her mother she wanted to be “a mom just like the way my mom was to me.”

Millie Bobby Brown is currently filming Enola Holmes 3. She is also set to take on a dual role as both executive producer and lead actress in the upcoming Netflix series Prism.
