Elon Musk's mother, Maye Musk, has opened up about her experience with the BBC, claiming they "conned" her. She said that they can't be trusted and claimed that they allegedly added a "hateful section" about her son.
The BBC gave the green flag to producers 72 Films in 2022 to produce a three-part documentary about Elon Musk, titled The Elon Musk Show. It was released on October 12, 2022. It focused on the billionaire's life and delved deeper into his acquisition of Twitter (now X) in October 2022.
72 Films and BBC are now set to make another documentary on the SpaceX owner. For this, they have been interviewing numerous people. On November 20, a self-proclaimed fangirl of Elon, Alexandra Merz, who also holds Tesla's shares, revealed a post on X. It was a screenshot of an email she had received from 72 Films regarding a request for an interview. She asked in the caption:
"Need your advice. Would you entertain this?"Maye Musk quoted this tweet and wrote:
"The BBC will do a very positive interview with you, then add a really nasty and hateful section on Elon and Tesla. They conned me into doing three episodes for them. Not sure if it’s the same company, but you really can’t trust them. Since then, I won’t do any interviews for BBC."The BBC will do a very positive interview with you, then add a really nasty and hateful section on Elon and Tesla. They conned me into doing three episodes for them. Not sure if it’s the same company, but you really can’t trust them. Since then, I won’t do any interviews for BBC.
Alexandra responded to Maye's post, expressing gratitude for her response and claiming that she "won't even follow up" with the BBC's mail.

In a post on November 6, she recalled the first-ever Tesla car Elon Musk had bought for her years ago. However, she added that he had to pay full price despite owning the company.
Maye wrote:
"Throwback Thursday. Me, with my first @Tesla that @elonmusk bought for me many years ago. He paid full price. My nephew asked if he can get a family discount. Elon said, every owner is family, so… no. I can’t believe how many Tesla owners are in Austin today. They are having so much fun meeting each other."This came just hours before Musk's shareholder meeting with Tesla.
Elon Musk claims AI can eradicate poverty, make currency irrelevant
Musk was part of a panel at the US-Saudi Investment Forum in Washington, US, on Monday, November 17. He spoke about numerous things, including the benefits of AI, making big claims about its applications.
He claimed that his AI and robotics inventions, like Grok and Optimu,s can help eradicate poverty, saying:
“I see poverty as more of an engineering problem than an unsolvable social issue. With Grok and Optimus, we could solve the labor shortage, drive costs to near zero, and create a future where poverty is statistically irrelevant. The scale of what's coming over the next decade is really easy to underestimate."Musk even added that within the next 10 to 20 years, currency might "become irrelevant" and working might become optional.
