South Africa have announced their squads for the ODI and T20I series against India. Post the ongoing two-match Test series, the action will shift to the white-ball formats.
South Africa have named full-strength squads for the limited-overs tour. Temba Bavuma, who is leading the Test side, will also lead the ODI team. Meanwhile, Aiden Markram will be the captain of the T20I team.
Both teams will first play a three-match ODI series and then play a five-match T20I series. The ODI series is scheduled to begin on November 30. The T20Is will begin on December 9.

ODI Squad - Temba Bavuma (C), Ottneil Baartman, Matthew Breetzke, Corbin Bosch, Dewald Brevis, Nandre Burger, Quinton De Kock, Tony De Zorzi, Rubin Hermann, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Aiden Markram, Ryan Rickelton, Prenelan Subrayen, Lungi Ngidi.
T20I Squad - Aiden Markram (C), Ottneil Baartman, Dewald Brevis, Corbin Bosch, Quinton De Kock, Tony De Zorzi, Donovan Ferreira, Reeza Hendricks, Tristan Stubbs, Marco Jansen, George Linde, Keshav Maharaj, Kwena Mphaka, David Miller, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje.
Notably, the visitors will miss Kagiso Rabada, who is not part of the white-ball tour. He did not feature in the first Test as well due to injury and will not play the second Test either.
The three ODIs will be played in Ranchi, Raipur, and Visakhapatnam. Cuttack, New Chandigarh, Dharamsala, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad are the venues for the five T20Is.
What happened the last time South Africa played ODIs and T20Is in India?
South Africa last played an ODI and T20I series in India in 2022/23. It was a three-match ODI and three-match T20I series. India won the one-day series 2-1. The Proteas won the first ODI by nine runs. However, the Men in Blue bounced back to win the next two games by seven wickets both times and sealed the series.
In the T20Is, India won the first two games and sealed the series with a match to go. They won the first game by eight wickets and the second by 16 runs. South Africa managed to bag a consolation victory in the final T20I, winning by 49 runs as the series went 2-1 to India.
This time around, the Proteas will want to try and put up a better performance in the white-ball matches across formats.
